Since starting summer break I've decided that Monday's really aren't so bad. I suppose I'm biased though since for me Monday is like another Saturday, no work, no school, no real commitments. It's nice really and I'm taking full advantage of it while I can. Yesterday was a nice day, sunny and warm enough that I was out and about in flip-flops and shorts. I spent the morning running errands and got to spend some time chatting with my grandma. It was great, I love my grandparents very much and I always learn so much when I talk with them. Being at a very pivotal point in my life the conversations I have with those who have very good advice and insights is very much appreciated. After spending some good time with my grandma I went home to try and tackle the never ending nightmare of cleaning my room. Seriously this has been an ongoing processes for the last 18 YEARS of my life!! My room always looks like a bomb zone. Clothes, books, papers, shoes, wrappers, etc.,etc.,etc. line my floor. Sometimes I can't even remember what color the carpet is.... I think I have carpet, maybe it's hardwood floor..... who knows! But I am trying really really hard to work on actually finishing it this time, like for real. So hopefully I can do it, I made a pretty good dent yesterday I just need to stay on top of it and keep going.

Last night we went to my parents choir concert. They sing with an alumni group and they had a great performance yesterday. It made me think back to all the choir concerts I had in high school, junior high, and even elementary school. It made me miss singing in a choir, but it was also neat that me and my brothers could go and support my parents this time. My boyfriend even came too. Which was great until him and my older brother decided that they should both poke me. Not very ideal to be attacked from both sides, especially when my boyfriend decided to trap both my hands so that my brother could have a free shot to poke me till I died! Who's side is he on anyway! Luckily my sister-in-law came to the rescue and I managed to survive the night. We then all went to dinner together and it was a really nice night full of fun, food, music, and laughter, lots and lots of laughter. My poor little brother had a rough Monday and told stories of leaving his backpack on the bus, shutting his fingers in the fridge, and having the dog, Tucker, try and eat his face after flicking water all over him. Guess It really was a Monday after all ;-)
