Shoe Shopping and Glacier Lillies!

Glacier Lillies :)

My family decided to go shoe shopping without me yesterday! I was quite distressed as they told me stories of all the exciting deals they found on all the pairs of shoes they got. Seriously they came home with like 6 pairs of shoes between the three of them. Guess who has been needing new tennis shoes for weeks now, yup me! They are falling apart and I missed the ONE time my family all goes shoe shopping. Oh the price I pay for a busy social life sometimes. But I guess that at least I was playing volleyball when I missed the shoe excursion and I LOVE playing volleyball. I probably play too much... except one can never play too much volleyball, and I am not saying that because I am addicted to playing or anything. I only play about 7 hours a week, only two days. So I have cut back a little. There have been occasions where I have played 6 out of the 7 days of the week.  Crazy, but fun, and I'm obviously not the only one addicted, I mean it takes more than one person to play on a team. So yesterday was spent playing league volleyball and then ward volleyball with a nice dinner with my boyfriend in between. We cooked dinner together at his house for the second night in a row. It was really nice and fun too, perhaps I'm being prepped for something?

Yesterday we also went on a nice long drive in the Valley, we wanted to go up over Avon Pass but it was still closed, guess there is still too much snow or something. So we settled for driving around the valley and up in the mountains a little. We almost ran over some lambs in his GIANT truck though! The lambs were on this dirt road and I guess they had slipped under the fence and as we were driving he didn't even see them until I was like " umm there are Lambs... AHH don't hit them!!!" or something like that :-) It was really a beautiful drive though, all the colors look so bright and vivid after a thunderstorm, with the bright green rolling fields and little yellow flowers dotting the mountain side, Glacier Lillies which are cute small yellow flowers that grow in the mountains and love the snow, They are one of my favorite flowers because they are just little, tiny yet they add a bright splash of yellow, my favorite color, to the hillsides. They like to grow just as the snow is melting and sometimes even grow out of small patches of snow. How many flowers do that! The rest of the evening was spent cooking a yummy dinner and watching the Last of the Mohican's. It was an ok show I thought, but the story line was a little weak, maybe I need to read the book. I'll have to add it to my ever growing list of books to read, which is sooo long I haven't even bothered to write it down yet!! Perhaps that will be one of my next projects.
